lazy way of recording travels

I don't feel like writing everything out with lots of details because I want to go to bed. But I want to start recording what I do everyday, because there is so much to do in Paris . So here is just what I typed to my mom on skype about what I did today. Just so I will remember.

day was good. went to running group. really liked it. ran down champs elysees, past the obelisk, through jardin de tulleiries, and by the louvre. did strength training. everyone nice. couldn' t shower at home because water was cold. went to rue de cler. it was closed. went to the biggest flea market in paris. the part i was in was kind of blah. i guy asked me if i had a lighter and when i told him no, he told me to come near him because he had a question, and he brought me around this corner and tried to sell me lingerie. bought food for dinner in probably one of the only supermarkets open in paris on sunday! felt lucky to find an open one. bought this great pain de mie bread from a bakery down the street. the french dont like it, but i do. its like eating a bread roll. bought a planner. planned part of my week in said planner. church. made dinner (a salmon/spinach/cheddar tart). So good! better than the one at home! Ate it with my pain de mie bread. watched an old sherlock homes movie with my host mom. she likes mystery things. i think thats it. im still trying to decide about this gym!

from the day before:
i ran. made a creative lunch. took a nap. walked around for several hours. saw rue cler. went to a cafe for a pear apple crumble. was cold. saw the pantheon and really impressive judicial buildings. saw the eiffel tower and the peace memorial. listened to babies crying in this appartement. saw said babies when they were cute and not crying. found lost earring. found a gym i could join for pretty cheap and could take yoga classes at. was stopped by an irish guy who told me my right leg is a very tiny little bit shorter than my left so I should put small, thin heel things in my right shoes. and then he said that one of my parents must be irish because its common among irish people and it can cause back problems. i don't know how he noticed this about me and i don't know if it's true. he was nice though.

27th of January
i had class grammar .lunch. henri-cartier bresson museum that had an exposition on one of my favorite photographers, robert doisneau. went out to happy hour with some peoples. had a kir. met a girl who had been to tanzania last semester. we talked about arusha. and there was an american who is studying in nantes and just happened to be in paris and who i met once while in nantes. have homework tonight

So this past two days and the 27th don't sound interesting when it's written so plainly, but they were both really good and I saw a lot of Paris. They were less eventful than other days that I've had, but it's been a nice weekend. I have done so many other things though. Ahh it's so hard to keep up with everything, especially when I'm bad a keeping blogs. AND IT'S CONOR'S AND ALEXIS'S BIRTHDAYS!!!

one of the sparse updates to this blog

This blog is kind of a joke. But la di da I'm going to Ireland today and then Finland on the 14th. I'll hopefully see the Northern Lights there. I also heard from my host family in Paris. They live in the 16th, which is supposed to be really nice and is close to the biggest park in Paris, which is good for running.
